In August 2020, my husband and I lost our twenty-two week pregnancy and I went on a three month art hiatus to focus on self care and therapy. The result was Don't Borrow Trouble, a graphic memoir about my personal experiences regarding fertility, pregnancy, and my four losses within a year. With an Eastern philosophical twist of accepting the chaotic 'natural order of things' as well as questioning the stigma of talking about pregnancy loss candidly and compassionately, the book also dives into the idea of making meaning from trauma and developing a better relationship with how and why we grieve.
Currently, Don't Borrow Trouble updates exclusively on Patreon for patrons at the $5+ tier.
I Have Come is a short comic story about Death, the Universe, and rebirth.
